Dr. Monique Reese is the senior vice president of home and community care for Highmark Health, a Pittsburgh-based national health and wellness organization and the second largest integrated delivery and financing system in America. Dr. Reese is responsible for leading the transformation of Highmark Health’s long-term post-acute strategy, including oversight of Helion and Allegheny Health Network Healthcare@Home.
Vice President and Executive Medical Director, Helion
Dr. Emily Jaffe is the vice president and executive medical director of Helion, one of Highmark Health’s affiliates and subsidiaries which specializes in population health management solutions that benefit payers, providers, and customers. Based in Pittsburgh, Pa., Helion provides customized solutions for health care organizations following hospitalization through a unique focus on collaboration, evidence-based pathways of care, big data, innovation, and pay-forvalue incentives for managing populations in home and community settings.

Nick Stupakis currently serves as Vice President of Helion, a subsidiary company of Highmark Health, the third largest integrated healthcare delivery and financing system in the nation. Nick plays an integral role in the development and execution of Helion’s strategy to transform quality, service, and value in the home and community care space through an innovative payer-provider network management model.
The Strategy & Implementation team, lead by Shima Arab, is responsible for evaluating strategic options to support Healing at Home and defining the roadmap to achieve strategic objectives. In addition, the team plays a key role coordinating solution implementation when entering a new market including being the point of contact for existing and potential new business.
Product & Technology team, directed by Sean Hunt, is responsible for continuously delivering value across stakeholder groups by bringing advanced analytics, applications, and other technology solutions to the user experience.
The Network Performance Management team is led by Andonia Aber. This team builds relationships and collaborates with home and community care providers within the designated market. This includes providing education to network providers on technology and reimbursement methodologies, review quarterly clinical and performance outcomes, offer site of care best practice training, and perform provider specific root cause analyses.
The Network Performance Operations team, is directed by Carrie Johns. This team is responsible for evaluating provider networks and defining micro-market strategies based on the market maturity and improvements towards a quality transition for members, building and maintaining value based reimbursement programs, evaluating and updating reporting and key data insights and supporting the deployment and maintenance of the portal and new programming.
Network Management team, directed by Ken Burkholder, partners with Helion and our customers to curate a culture of innovation and cyclical value creation. This team works diligently to evaluate market maturity, identify opportunities, and develop roadmaps for market evolution to continuously mature our provider networks, and to develop the capabilities that support this evolution. With many team members having previously worked for various integrated healthcare organizations, the team brings unique perspectives that enables streamlined ideation, development, and scaling of new Helion solutions that drive customer value.
The Data & Analytics team, managed by Justin Snyder, drives the identification and delivery of key insights from both payer and provider data. This includes back-end data ingestion and refinement, as well as front end analytics to identify trends, performance and clinical outcomes, and general ad-hoc reporting.
Cindy Vunovich is the director of clinical service, design and strategy for Helion. This team is comprised of a multi-disciplinary group of clinicians and strategists focused on designing and implementing innovative, evidence-based best practices in community care. The team accomplishes this by partnering with internal and external customers while staying focused on fostering the quadruple aim.
Laura McNeil is the director of education for Helion who is responsible for the evidence-based education program including curriculum needs assessment, design, and implementation for the internal Helion team and their external partners. Additionally, the education team manages the learning management system to scale and standardize education across provider networks.
